Rob Gaylard (OCA Social Issues)has taken just taken a further R750 from the sale of meal coupons down to Loaves and Fishes.This is part of the 'Give a Hand Up - and not a Hand Out' intiative of the OCA. The idea is to discourage people from giving cash handouts, which usually benefit local bottlestores.

Thank you to all those who supported this scheme by buying meal coupons.A new set of coupons is now available at R5 per coupon from OBZ Kwikspar.Thank you to Postnet (Observatory) for printing the coupons at a reduced price and to the Obz KwikSpar for their willing participation.


Loaves and Fishes indicated that they have an average of about 10 people a week coming in with coupons which they exchange for a hot supper. Rob
plans to go down and sample the supper sometime! Anyone care to join him?
