Before the Police will open a case on the loss of a cell phone (necessary for insurance) the phone must be blocked. To do this the IMEI number (inside the phone and on the box), tel number and type of the phone must be phoned in and a black list number obtained. The blocking numbers to phone are:
MTN 083 1173 or 083 1808
Vodacom 082 111
Cell C 084 140
Knowing this may save you an unnecessary trip to the Police Station. |
